On
January 20th and 21st, The Players Club at St. James was
closed a day and a half for maintenance.
We know that closed days can be disappointing, especially when the
weather is nice. However, closed days
are vital to the condition of your golf courses. Here is a list of tasks we completed in the
time we were closed.
·
Herbicides
and fungicides were sprayed on the greens
·
Greens
were aerated (no cores pulled)
·
Greens
were rolled
·
Herbicides
were sprayed on the rough
·
Fertilizer
was sprayed on tees and fairways
·
Dead
Trees were removed
·
Roots
and weeds were removed from waste bunkers
·
Additional
mulch beds were built
·
Routine
irrigation maintenance
Here are some pictures of our associates working during our recent closed time.
