Correcting shade issues is always a big part of our winter project list at the Players Club. Our MiniVerde greens love the sun, therefore our goal is to maximize full sun hours. Since the sun changes angles throughout the year it is not always easy to see where the shade is coming from at different times of the year. We began using this Sun Surveyor app (Sun Seeker on iPhone/iPad) about 2 years ago and it has been an awesome tool. We can see the high and low sun arc for the year as well as the arc on any indiviual day. By using this tool we know for sure if we cut down a tree, it's the right one.
