Members Club Update

While we have covered a lot of ground (literally), we still have a ways to go. There are a few fairways that are concerning and are receiving our upmost attention.

Our plans going forward are:

·         Continue to aggressively fertilize thin turf areas on a weekly basis to encourage growth

·         Spray wetting agents to help keep the soil moist

·         Spike and verticut to promote lateral growth

·         Topdress with a sand/peat soil mixture to help hold moisture and smooth the surface

Other steps we have taken include:

·         Ordered new irrigation heads – same style heads as used throughout Reserve Club -featuring improved precipitation rates

·         Purchased and installed several new antennas for field satellite controllers. Also purchased a new antenna for the base station to transmit an optimal signal.

·         Treated fairways with a nematicide to help control excessive nematode populations

·         Mowing with extremely sharp blades to reduce stress on the turf

·         Replaced a well-pump used for irrigation on the Cate nine which had expired.

We also have plans to beginning sodding some areas for quicker establishment.
