Class is in Session

The golf course maintenance crew at St. James has a special relationship with the Turf and Horticulture Program at Brunswick Community College.  Every year, the 2nd year students in the program come out for a visit of both maintenance shops and all 4 golf courses.  This visit benefits both the students and the associates that show them around.  This year’s participants asked many really good questions and in turn, we had many questions for them concerning their experiences.

In addition to this, on April 1st The Members, Founders, and Players Clubs will be working on their Audubon International recertification.  This process requires a tour of all the courses by a certified representative for Audubon International.  As a representative of Audubon (and the Head Professor of the BCC program) Dean Bennett asked if we would allow the students to come back out to St. James to watch the process of recertification in action.   We here on the golf course maintenance crew thought it was a great idea, and look forward to seeing Dean and his students again on April 1st!
