We fielded a question yesterday concerning height of cut. The question, "Why can't we just change the mowing height's from green to green instead of mowing all the green's higher?"
The answer to that question, and most turf questions, has many answers. However, the central argument is the mower itself. Our reel mowers take time to adjust properly. Unlike many home lawn mowers, we cannot simply move some levers and keep mowing. We staff full time mechanics that are trained in properly setting reel mowers. Here is a video we found that describes the correct procedure for adjusting reel mowers.
